Their active participation has allowed young women the opportunity to raise awareness on several Japanese American community platforms and represent Orange County in many Japanese American events in Southern California.

In having only the queens in attendance.—The Nikkei Basketball Heritage Association (NBHA) is partnering with the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) to organize a panel discussion with the theme of More Than Basketball set for Saturday.

Also speaking will be Danielle Mizuiri.who serves on the Nisei Athletic Union board in Southern California.
